Sev (Gram flour noodles) instructions

  1. Take a broad vessel and grease the bottom with oil.
  2. Add all dry ingredients and mix it well.
  3. Add 1 tbsp oil and mix it well.
  4. Add garlic paste, its optional in case you want it to be ginger flavored you can add ginger paste at this point.
  5. Knead medium soft dough.
  6. Once the dough is almost ready and if it is sticking to your hands remove it using a spoon then grease your palms with oil and then knead it a bit and keep it aside.

  8. Divide dough in to two equal portions.
  9. Grease the machine with oil from inside then put first portion in it and close it.
  10. Heat the oil for frying on medium heat.
  11. Once oil is ready, hold the machine vertically on top of the pan with one hand and with the other hand turn top handle of the machine, this will help to push the noodles out from the bottom directly in to the oil.
  12. While turning the top handle, try and make circle of noodles matching the diameter of the pan.
  13. Fry it for about 20 seconds and flip it over.
  14. Fry it until light golden color as shown in Image 3; it will take 20-25 seconds.
